Cards for the Stars & Stripes Honor Flight

Cream City Calligraphers & Paper Arts honors our veterans by making cards for the Wisconsin Honor Flight.

Honor flights fly veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit their memorials. At the end of each flight, there is a "mail call" program where the veterans receive cards.

We make handmade cards for the veterans to receive at their mail call, thanking them for their service to our country.

Since our 2014-2015 membership year, we have dedicated one our our general meetings to making the cards together as a guild.

You can also make and provide you own outside of our meeting. Just be sure to follow the general guideline below:
  • Use a patriotic theme, not specific to any one conflict
  • Size should be 5 x 7 or smaller
  • Do not use glitter
  • Include envelopes with your final cards
  • Address the envelope to "Honored Veteran"
