I have never been to Florida nor do I have a desire to go, but this cold weather is taking it's toll as I get older. I still like Wisconsin.
We had a fun December get together of the Board members with our hostess, Faith Miller. It was held at the Schlitz
Audubon Nature Center, a fascinating facility if you have never been there.
Our January John Hancock meeting was a great success making Valentines for the children at Children's Hospital, and annual event.
The potluck meal was fantastic as well, and thanks to all that brought those wonderful dishes.
I do need to take care of some business that I neglected to announce in November. We need a nomination committee consisting of 3 board members and 2 general membership members to form the committee. It will be to select a secretary and a treasurer for the next term. One can only hold office for two years as President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer and this year the Secretary and Treasurer terms are fulfilled.
I need your cooperation in accomplishing this duty and welcome volunteers. According to the by-laws, the president is to appoint 3 members of the board and select 2 members of the general membership. If I am to appoint the board members, it will be those that were not in attendance at the last board meeting. Get ready.
