Our Next Meeting

PAPERMAKING

Learning never ends. Come see how paper is made and try your hand at making your own sheet! Greg Grummer, son of papermaker, Arnold Grummer, will be demonstrating the basic steps of the papermaking process, along with a few stunning, yet simple techniques for adding creativity to the papermaking process. He will also be offering anyone interested the opportunity to make a sheet of paper for themselves.
Arnold Grummer’s Papermaking is a family run manufacturer and marketer of papermaking kits and supplies. It was started in 1976 by Arnold Grummer, who worked for the Institute of Paper Chemistry in the Fox River Valley, home at that time of a large concentration of paper
mills. Arnold developed his own line of papermaking kits utilizing some of the oldest and newest technologies available. He also developed an excellent program for teaching papermaking in schools and other institutions and individuals interested in the art of papermaking.
We hope you can join us for a fun and educational evening. Greg will also be selling his products, so bring your cash!!

Thanks to everyone who made Valentine cards for the kids at Children’s Hospital. They, hopefully, brightened the day of many children.

February homework is to display some ATC’s or hand-made cards. They can be any theme but NO SWAPPING! It’s just for a little winter inspiration! Extra credit will be given for any calligraphy or lettering used on the cards or ATC’s and any of the cards for the Troops. Please don’t forget
about our Troops!
