Have you ever read a book because it matched your mood? I’m an avid reader and am usually reading 1 or 2 books at a time. The book I am currently reading, Under the Tuscan Sun, is certainly reflective of my mood. The house in the book is called Bramasole (pronounced "brah - mah - so' - lay") and the translation from Italian means "yearning for the sun". While I consider myself an “autumn girl” I have found myself yearning for summer and sunshine. And although my backyard certainly isn’t like the fields of Tuscany in the book, I enjoy working in the sunshine in my tiny garden. (Except when those pesky rabbits treat my yard like some giant salad buffet…but we won’t go there right now.)
This meeting is the last one before our summer break. I’ve been looking forward to this program because I love the idea and thoughts behind weathergrams. If I wanted to send the summer a card, this is the way I would do it. Leave a note or poem on a strip of paper to wave in the wind and be touched by the sun and rain. Hope this fun project is the start of a wonderful summer for you.
